I received formal training in photography at Nottingham University where I completed a Masters of Science in Biological Photography and Imaging. Upon completion of my masters I embarked on a career as a freelance photographer.
Since starting my career I have worked in a wide range of environments, from wedding and event photography to holding the position of Assistant Manager of the Photography Department at Winter Wonderland, but it is photographing nature and architecture that I enjoy the most and it is when photographing the fusion between nature and architecture that I feel most inspired.
Landscape garden photography has made up a considerable proportion of my work from the very beginning of my career, with Fiona Stephenson Garden Design being my most prolific and long-lasting client. In partnership with Fiona I have had my images of her gardens displayed at both Hampton Court Palace Flower Show and the RHS Chelsea Flower Shows, in publications for the Society of Garden Designers as well as being published in the coffee table book ‘Great Garden Design: Contemporary Inspiration for Outdoor Spaces’ by Ian Hodgson.
In September of 2016 I started working for Fresh Locations, a film location agency, both as a freelance photographer photographing their properties and as an Assistant Location Agent for two days a week in the their office. During this time I gained a great deal of experience photographing interiors. Currently I am still regularly producing photography of properties for Fresh Locations as well as artistically documenting Hale Architects and Fiona Stephenson Garden Design’s most recent completed projects.
